There are a number of methods to get proactive communication and current on-line updates to events in our area. The main method to get current and proactive push notifications is SMC Alert, listed below in #1. The KMFD strongly encourages all Kings Mountain residents to sign up for these notifications.
- SMC Alert: San Mateo County’s Official System for notifying residents of hazards or critical actions to take. All residents should be signed up for this.
- CalFire Notifications: email distribution for local and regional events.

- ALERT California: website for Fire Camera viewing in CA and local area.
- genasys: information on area evacuation warnings and orders.
- Fire Dispatch: lists local fire incidents and units assigned. Can also monitor radio traffic.
